ALLEN Students are all set to bring Glory to the Nation through various International Olympiad organised by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers).The Indian Association of Physics Teachers or IAPT is a body that coordinates the Physics Olympiad for India along with HBCSE.
IAPT conducts the National Standard Examination in Physics each year throughout the country, with approximately 31,000 participants. The top 1% then sits for the Indian National Physics Olympiad, from where the top thirty students are selected for the International Physics Olympiad Training Camp, usually conducted at HBCSE. Here, the team for the International Physics Olympiad is selected, and the team go for the examination.
IAPT also helps conduct the National Standard Examination in Junior Science, National Standard Examination in Astronomy, National Standard Examination in Chemistry and National Standard Examination in Biology and National Standard Examination in Junior Science.
Director, Allen Career Institute Shri Brajesh Maheshwari said, 362 students from Allen Career Institute are selected for Indian National Olympiad-2018.This includes 73 students in Indian National Junior Science Olympiad,57 in Indian National Astronomy Olympiad,96 in Indian National Biology Olympiad,71 in Indian National Chemistry Olympiad,63 in Indian National Physics Olympiad. All of them are the students of PNCF Division of Allen Institute.
He further added that the first stage of Olympiad was conducted by IAPT in November. The next stage is Indian National Olympiad. The top students from the Indian National Olympiad are invited for the third stage, the Orientation-cum-Selection Camps (OCSCs) held at HBCSE. The selected Indian teams undergo a rigorous training programme at HBCSE.
