4 students of ALLEN Pre-nurture Division selected for National Bal Shree Award
A total of 4 students of ALLEN’s Pre-Nurture Division have been selected for the National Bal Shree Award. According to Shri Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute, a total of 62 students from all over the country are going to be awarded with this prestigious award by the President of India. According to him, every year, Students are shortlisted by National Bal Bhavan, Government of India, to be rewarded with Chacha Nehru Scholarship (under Ministry of Human resource and development) and National bal Shree Award, for their creative development in 4 streams. Every year, competitions are conducted at State level, Zonal level and national level for the same.
Out of total 177 students selected at Zonal level, Megha Gupta of class 10th, has been selected in creative performance field, Pranjal Pramod, class 11th in Creative Arts and Vaidehi Rakholiya & Srishti Asthana, class 11th have been selected in Creative Scientific Innovation Field. All these students participated in the National camp, Bal Bhavan, New Delhi in 2013.
Megha Gupta, student of ALLEN, an NTSE Scholar and National Child Awardee, aims at becoming an IAS after studying from IIT. On the other hand, Vaidehi Rakholiya, a scholar of NTSE, INBO and KVPY, is targeting at becoming a doctor from AIIMS. Srishti Asthana, who has been selected in NTSE, IJSO, NSEB, IRIS, EPGY and Google Science fair, aims at doing research in scientific field. Pranjal Pramod dreams about studying at AIIMS and becoming world’s best doctor.
Any student in the age group of 9-16 years can participate in National Bal Shree Award Competition, which is conducted in 3 levels. Its 4 different streams are creative performance, creative arts, creative scientific innovation and creative writing. The students are examined on the basis of 9 parameters like originality, innovative approach, idea, analytical and critical approach, team work etc. Every winner in the age group of 9-14 years is awarded with a scholarship of Rs 5000 and those in the age group of 14-16 years are awarded with a scholarship of Rs 6000(till 12th class). National Bal Bhavan has taken Indian Arts and Culture to a Great level in the World. Presently there are more than 73 district and state Bal Bhavans in India.
