Once again ALLEN proves its Unparallel Excellence in International Olympiad. 4 ALLEN PNCF Students are selected to represent Team India in IJSO 2019. Sh. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director of Allen Career Institute said that the result of Orientation Cum Selection Camp (OCSC) organized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) for 16th International Junior Science Olympiad has been released. The selected team will represent Team India at Doha, capital of Qatar from December 3 to 12, 2019. 6 students from all over the country are selected in the team out of which 4 students are from Allen Career Institute. Krishna Sharma, Atharv S Mahajan, Mahit Gadhiwala and Manpreet Singh are the selected students.
International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is a competition in science. IJSO aims to promote interest in science among school students, exposing them to problem-solving, critical thinking and experimentation.
An important aim of the Olympiad is for young people to experience different cultures and to bring about interactions between students from across the world.
The Junior Science Olympiad program follows the following 5 stages:
Stage I: National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS)
Stage II: Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO)
Stage III: Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) in Junior Science
Stage IV: Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT) for IJSO
Stage V: Participation in International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)
National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS) was held on November 18, 2018. In this, a total of 77 students from Allen were selected for the second stage Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO). INJSO was held in February 2019. In this, a total of 39 students from all over the country were selected for Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) in Junior Science out of which 19 students were from Allen. In OCSC, a total of 6 students from across the country are selected for the fourth stage, Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT). Out of these 6 students, 4 are from Allen. They will represent India in the fifth stage of IJSO 2019.
