5 ALLEN Students selected among Top 10 in KVPY 2018 Fellowship Stage 2

Allen Career Institute’s students are performing well in the country’s medical and engineering entrance examinations while delivering their best in other examinations. To encourage students in the field of science and research, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) examination is being conducted throughout the country by IISC Bangalore. In the recently declared result, Allen students have made a mark in the top 10 in the KVPY 2018 Stage-2 (Fellowship) results.

Director Brajesh Maheshwari said that in the results of this examination conducted for 11th and 12th grade, 5 out of 20 students in the top 10 of the two classes are from Allen. These students are all from ALLEN Classroom Programme. A total of 460 students have been selected from the institute. ALLEN classroom student, Parth Dwivedi of class 11th (SA), got the 6th All India Rank and Nitya Mehta secured 9th All India Rank. In addition to this, from class 12th, Classroom student Harshil Vagadia in class 12th (SX) secured All India Rank 3, Kartikey Gupta secured All India Rank 6 and Jayesh Singla got Rank 10th at All India Level.

460 Students got Selected:

Maheshwari said that the overall result of the KVPY stage-2 was even justified in numeric terms. A large number of students were successful. 460 students succeeded in KVPY Stage 2; among which, 366 students are in classroom programme while 94 students are in the distance learning programme of ALLEN.

Regular Studies led to success: Harshil Vagadia

Harshil Vagadia, resident of Rajkot (Gujarat) has secured the third position at the all India level in KVPY, SX Stream. Allen Career Institute student Harshil had scored 350 marks in JEE Main in January 2019 and is currently preparing for JEE Advanced. Harshil said that he has been studying in Kota for the last two years. Mother, Vipa Vagadia stays with him and is involved in his studies. Harshil told that Physics is his favorite subject. Apart from classroom coaching, Harshil gives 10 to 12 hours to his regular studies and states this as the reason for his success. Harshil has also been selected for the International Physics Olympiad camp. Father Unmesh Vagadia is a businessman.

Strengthened my weaker topics: Parth Dwivedi

Parth Dwivedi, a classroom student of the Allen Career Institute, who received the sixth position at the All India level in KVPY (SA Stream), said ‘I first strengthened my weak topics to achieve this success. There was a lot of fear in biology and organic chemistry but with ALLEN teachers’ support and Allen’s study material, I have acquired a good command in both the subjects. I study for 3-4 hours daily and attend Classes Regularly.’ He enjoys playing guitar and watching movies. Father, Vineet Dwivedi is a Railway Officer and Mother, Neeti Dwivedi is the Additional SP in Lucknow.

Physics is my Favorite Subject: Jayesh Singla

Jayesh Singla from Patiala in Punjab has won All India 10th rank in the SX category. Jayesh has previously scored 100 percentile in the JEE Main examination in January 2019 attempt. Jayesh told that Physics is his favorite subject. Apart from ALLEN’s Regular Classes, he devotes 5 to 6 hours of self-study. ‘I consider Regular Studies as the key to my success’ quotes Jayesh. Jayesh is RMO qualified and have been selected for the second level of National Olympiad of Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, and Informatics. He is more interested in computer programming. Jayesh is fluent in computer programming Java language and aspires to go for programming core after completing his engineering in CS branch from IIT Mumbai. Both his father, Ajay Kumar Singla and mother, Monika Gupta are professionally doctors.

Wants to become an IITian: Niyati Mehta

Niyati Mehta, the student of the Allen Career Institute Ahmedabad, has secured 9th All India rank in KVPY (SA Stream). Niyati revealed that apart from the classroom studies, she gave 5 to 6 hours to regular studies and keeping a focus on this, also revived the syllabus of Class 10. That helped me achieve a great result in KVPY. After coming to Allen, her confidence level increased tremendously. Here’s a mix of good students and the best teachers. Physics is her most favorite subject. I want to become an IITian in the future. Niyati’s father Manish Mehta is an officer at ONGC and mother, Sejal Mehta is an engineer by profession.
