32 students have been selected for the merit list of INMO after appearing for RMO out of which 8 students are of ALLEN Career Institute. The point worth noting is that only 6 students from 12th class are selected in the merit list out of which 3 are the students of ALLEN. 3 students have been selected from 11th class and 2 from 10th class of ALLEN’s Pre-Nurture Division.
RMO was conducted by Department of Mathematics, University of Rajathan.
Apart from this, 1 more student from ALLEN Career Institute has also been selected to appear for INMO (out of the total 35 students) from National Mathematics Talent Contest which is conducted by the Association of the Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI), Chennai.
INMO will shortlist around 35-40 students for Orientation Camp. Students have to go through a tough competition during the Orientation Camp. Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai) provides special training for the same.
After a cut-throat competition at HBCSE, Mumbai, ‘only 4-5 students’ are selected for the International Mathematics Olympiad.
The 55th International Mathematics Olympiad would be organized in Cape Town, South Africa from 3rd to 13th july 2014. Students from All over the world participate in this competitive exam. Above all the students winning Gold Medal will reserve their seats in CMO (Chennai Mathematical Institute), ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) & IISC Bangalore.
