95 Students of Allen Career Institute Selected for Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO)

Once again students of Allen Career Institute have proved their dominance over the result. Result of Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) was declared on December 7, 2017. 95 students of Allen Career Institute are selected for 59th The Indian National Mathematics Olympiad  (INMO) which is conducted every year by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.

 

The Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO) is an exam in which students who qualify the Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) are invited to appear for it. Students qualifying the INMO get to attend the IMO Training Camp, where further selection tests take place.

Director of Allen Career Institute, Sh. Naveen Maheshwari said, “The main purpose of this exam is to spot mathematical talent among the students in the country. 855 students from all over the country are qualified for the third stage-The Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO), in which 95 students are from different centers of Allen Career Institute. 12 students from Ahmedabad, 1 from Rajkot, 5 from Ranchi, 1 from Vadodara, 3 from Surat, 12 from Kota, 8 from Bengaluru, 7 from Chandigarh, 10 from Indore, 6 from Mumbai, 10 from Jaipur, 19 from workshop program and 1  student from Distance learning program of Allen Career Institute are selected for 59th The Indian National Mathematics Olympiad   (INMO).”

The first stage of examination is the pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad (PRMO).The second stage is the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO). The best performing students from RMO qualify for the third stage-The Indian National Olympiad (INMO) which will be held on January 21, 2018. The top 35 students from the INMO are invited for the fourth stage, the International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) held at HBCSE. At this camp orientation is provided to students for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).Several selection tests are held during this camp. On the basis of performance in these tests six students are selected to represent India at the IMO. The selected team undergoes a rigorous training programme for about 8-10 days at HBCSE prior to its departure for the IMO. The Olympiad programme culminates with the participation of the students in the IMO
