All 6 students to represent Team India in IJSO 2017 from ALLEN

– Final Round to be held in Netherlands

ALLEN Career Institute is establishing a new dimension of excellence. After bringing four gold medals in the 13th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO-2016), the institution’s students have now set up a new record in this arena.

The result of orientation cum selection camp (OCSC) organized for final team selection for the 14th IJSO-2017 was released on Friday by Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE). All 6 students who will represent India are from the ALLEN Career Institute.

Director, ALLEN Career Institute, Naveen Maheshwari said that this is probably the first time in the history of IJSO when all the six students representing India are from the same institute. In this team of six students, three are from Allen Kota, one from Ahmedabad, one from Mumbai and one student is from workshop program.

Maheshwari told that Adarsh Shah, Akhil Jain and Mudita Goyal are of Kota Classroom program, whereas Subarno Nath, is from Mumbai center and Niyati Mehta from Ahmedabad. Apart from this Kunal Samantha is associated with ALLEN from the Workshop program.

The final in the Netherlands

The 14th IJSO-2017 will be held in Nijmegen at Netherlands from December 3rd to 12th. This final, organized by IJSO Foundation, will include more than 300 talented students from across 50 countries. The age of these students will be 15 years or less. This year the theme of the IJSO will be ‘Water and Sustainability’. To reach the finals, this examination consists of four steps. This reputed examination that is conducted from zonal level to national level, is preceded by orientation cum selection camp held at HBCSE Mumbai, post which the Indian team for final is announced.
