ALLEN 9 students have achieved a position in the top-10
The stream-wise result of KVPY Fellowship 2022 was declared on Friday. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.
Brajesh Maheshwari, Director of Allen Career Institute, said that 9 students have achieved a position in the top-10 in class 11th and 12th. In this Allen’s classroom students Samarth Bhagyesh Patel and Aditi Singh got All India Rank 1 and 2 in SA stream (Class 11) and Jishnu Gundu got AIR 9. Similarly, in SB stream Sayuditi Raut got AIR 3, while in class 12 (SX) stream Divyanshu Malu got AIR 5, Tejas Sharma got AIR 7, Abhijit Anand and Akshad Rajendra Mhaske got AIR 9 and Dhruv Alop Shah got AIR 10.
About KVPY Exam
Every year this exam is conducted in two stages. After passing the written aptitude test and the fellowship, interviews take place based on the combined result of both examinations. In view of Covid-19 this year, the result has been released only based on the aptitude test. The examination was held on 31 January. Under the fellowship Rs. 5000 per month and Annual Contingency Grant of Rs. 20000 is given during 1st to 3rd years of – B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math. / Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. Similarly, Rs. 7000 per month and Rs. 28000 Annual Contingency Grant is given during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S./M.Math./M.Stat. The Student is eligible to receive the KVPY fellowship up to the Pre-PhD level or 5 years, whichever is earlier.
Streams of KVPY Exam
Stream SA – KVPY examination is taken on 3 bases. Aspirants of KVPY from Class 11 fall under the SA stream for which the general category students should have scored 75% marks in class 10 and SC/ST/PwD students should have scored 65% marks.
Stream SX – Students enrolled in class 12 are included in the SX stream of KVPY. General category students should have scored 75% marks in class 10 and SC/ST/PwD category students should have scored 65% marks in class 10 to qualify for KVPY. Similarly, the eligibility for General category students is 60% marks in class 12 and eligibility for SC/ST/PwD category students is 50% marks in class 12.
