Amarjit Vikas Pande, the student of ALLEN Career Institute makes the nation proud by grabbing Silver Medal for the country in the 10th International Earth Science 2016. As per the Director Sh. Brajesh Maheshwari, “Amarjit, who is a classroom programme student at ALLEN Mumbai, was selected in the team of 4 students to compete in the 3rd and the final round of International Earth Science Olympiad this year where he has won a Silver Medal giving a tough competition to the students from various countries.”
The International Earth Science Olympiad – IESO, was founded as one of the major activities of the International Geoscience Education Organization– IGEO. IGEO is affiliated to and sponsored by International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). It is conducted in 3 rounds where 2 rounds are conducted in India and the 3rd or the final round is conducted abroad.
Geo-science is very interesting
According to Amarjit, he got exceptional support at ALLEN, and an environment where he could grow as a student. “I have always had keen interest in Geoscience. I believe that to succeed in life, hard work and dedication are a must.” Amarjit aspires to be an engineer now. A son to a businessman father, Amarjit’s mother Mrs. Poonam Pandey beamed with pride as she told how he got all kind of support from ALLEN.
