National Child Award presented to 2 ALLEN students
Two child prodigies and classroom students of ALLEN Career Institute, Ayushman Tripathi and Megha Bose were awarded National Child Award by the Hon’ble President Shri Ramnath Kovind on Tuesday, 22 January, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
Ayushman Tripathi, a student of ALLEN Career Institute, was awarded the National Child Award for his excellence in education. Ayushman has achieved many awards by demonstrating his intellectual ability at national and international level competitions. Ayushman continuously cooperates in enhancing the intellectual capacity of his colleagues and young children. Ayushman has received a gold medal in the 13th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) held at Bali, Indonesia in 2016.
Ms. Megha Bose, another student of ALLEN Career Institute, was also awarded the National Child Award for her proficiency in numbers. Megha has performed well in the Combined International English Olympiad and Australian Chemistry Quiz. Megha’s goal is to contribute to India’s technological advancement.
ALLEN student, Nishant Abhangi also joined the event. Nishant was honored with this award last year. Nishant was invited to talk to the students this year.
These awards are given in two main categories. The categories are as Bal Shakti Puraskar (erstwhile known as National Child Award), Bal Kalyan Puraskar (erstwhile known as National Child Welfare Award), Bal Shakti Puraskar.
These awards were given to 26 children. Awards are given in the field of innovation, sports, arts and culture, social service and bravery. Some students are given a combined award. In National Child Award individual category, a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, book vouchers worth Rs. 10,000, a certificate and a citation is given. The Child Welfare award individual category consists of Rs. 1 lakh cash while the award for institution consists Rs. five lakh prize. This event was organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
