The IOAA Was Held in Brazil Between 17 August & 26 August
ALLEN Students have once again brought glory to India in the international Olympiad. ALLEN students have won two silver medals in the recently announced International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics.
ALLEN Director Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari said that the 17th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics was held in Brazil between 17 and 26 August. ALLEN Classroom students Ayush Kuthari and Panini won silver medals in the final.
IOAA is Held in 5 Stages
He said that this Olympiad is held in 5 stages. In the first stage, National Standard Examination in Astronomy and Astrophysics (NSEA), 138 ALLEN students were selected. After this, 28 ALLEN students were selected in the second stage, Indian National Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad (INAO).
After the third phase, Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC), a five-member Indian team was announced, in which two students were from ALLEN. The two ALLEN students selected after the third phase participated in the fourth phase, Pre Departure Training (PDT) camp. After this, both of them won silver medals in the fifth and final phase, IOAA Finals.
