NCERT conducted the 2nd level of National Talent Search Examination on 8th May, the results of which were announced on Friday, 22 July 2016. A total of 975 students from all over the country have qualified for the NTSE Scholarship, the list of which was made available on the NTSE official website. Qualified Students of class 11th and 12th class to receive Rs 1250 monthly scholarship and those pursuing graduation or post graduation will receive Rs 2000 per month.
As per Head ALLEN Pre Nurture & Career Foundation Division , Sh Amit Gupta , Cut of for General was 85.09 %, for ST 56.43 %, for SC 52.12% and for Physically challenged 53.47%. The students selected on the national level will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1250 during their 11th and 12th. At the graduate and post graduate level, the students will enjoy a scholarship of Rs 2000 per month.
As per the further sub division of the selected students, 775 are from the General category, 150 from the SC category and the rest 50 belong to the ST Category.
In the 2nd level of NTSE Examination, 50 questions belonged to the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and 100 were of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). 50 questions were also asked from Language Comprehension.
Recently, the Human Resource Development Ministry of the country has announced of giving NTSE scholarships to 2000 students in NTSE 2017 as compared to this year’s 857 students.
