Students of Kota are leaving an imprint even at the international level. After consistently giving best results in the international level Olympiad, now Kota coaching students have proved their high degree of competence at the 18th Asian Physics Olympiad. The Olympiad concluded in Russia’s Yakutsk on May 8 in which 4 students represented India at the International level. One amongst them was ALLEN’s Lay Jain.
According to Mr Maheshwari, the selection for the team to compete in APHO is done on the basis of the competitions conducted for International Physics Olympiad.
Aims to pursue research
Lay devotes a 6 hour time to self studies daily apart from his regular coaching schedule. He likes the subject Physics and hence most of his time goes in studying that. He wishes to complete his graduation post which he aims at pursuing research. Along with his studies, he likes to play badminton and chess for leisure. Occasionally he also reads a few novels. He has been studying in Kota since his class 7th.
“Kota coaching methodology is the best in the country and the environment a student gets here is incomparable. Here the students get whatever they could ask for”, says Lay. Lay who is an NTSE scholar also won Gold for the nation at the International Junior Science Olympiad 2 years ago. His mother Bhawna Jain is a home maker while his father Anil Kumar Jain is an engineer in the Indian Railways.
