Inspire Competition is conducted by NIF & DST of Government of India
Suket Raj, a student of Pre Nurture and Career Foundation (PNCF) Division of ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, has achieved success in the Inspire Standard Competition organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
Suket’s project idea has been declared eligible to participate in the District Level Exhibition and Project Competition (DLEPC) organized at the district level. Along with this, a grant of Rs 10 thousand will also be provided to the student to develop the project to the next level.
ALLEN’s Vice President and PNCF Head Amit Gupta said that the Inspire Manak Yojana is being run by the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology (DST).
The aim of this scheme is to encourage 10 lakh innovations based on science and social applications, so that a culture of creativity and innovation can be promoted in schools. Students in the age group of 10-15 years, studying in classes VI to X, are eligible to participate.
It’s a scheme by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) aimed at attracting young talent to science and building a strong science and technology base in the country.
District Level Exhibition & Project Competition (DLEPC) is a key component of the INSPIRE-MANAK scheme, where students from middle and high schools showcase their ideas and projects. The National Innovation Foundation (NIF), an autonomous organization of DST, is the resource partner for this scheme.
Ideas/innovations are selected based on novelty, social applicability, environmental friendliness, user-friendliness, and comparative advantage over existing technologies.
The top one lakh project ideas selected at the school level are selected at the district level and encouraged to participate in state and national level competitions. In his project, Suket has worked on producing synthetic paper in place of traditional paper, which will prove helpful in reducing deforestation.
