The students of Indian origin in Gulf countries would be able to take admission in an IIT near their homes as the Government of India has decided to open the first IIT abroad in UAE. This decision will significantly boost the IIT-JEE aspirants of Indian origin in the Middle East countries who earlier had to travel overseas to seek admission in IITs in India. This will be the first time that an IIT will be established abroad.
The agreement for establishing the First IIT in UAE has been signed by the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal in a bilateral meeting with a delegation of UAE on 18 February. With the setting up of the first IIT in UAE, the IIT-JEE aspirants will benefit from studying in an IIT in a Gulf country.
The deal highlighted that the two nations would also set up an India–UAE cultural council to facilitate and promote cultural projects, cross-cultural exchanges, exhibitions, among others.
ALLEN has established its study centers overseas to bring quality education to every student globally. ALLEN Overseas is a step towards bringing quality education within reach of every student globally.
