BITSAT-2020 Application Form Released: Know how to apply, eligibility, Important Dates

BITS Pilani, recognized as an Institute of Eminence by MHRD, is India’s leading Institute of Higher Education and a deemed to be university, with an illustrious legacy, modern campuses and eminent alumni in leadership positions across the world. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2020-21 is based on a Computer-based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani. The test is referred as ‘BITS Admission Test’ (BITSAT). The institute offers Integrated First degree programmes including BE, Pharma and MSc programmes. 

 

BITSAT is a stepping stone through which candidates can secure admission at BITS campuses in disciplines like Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Biotechnology. Apart from this, candidates also give this exam for admission into B Pharma and M Sc. as well.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria

  • For admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes (except Dubai campus, for which BITSAT is not essential) the student should have passed the 12th class examination of 10 +2 system from a recognized Central or State board or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
  • For admission to B.Pharm, the eligibility criteria are Physics, Chemistry and Biology or PCM.
  • The student should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in the 12th class examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the subjects and possess adequate proficiency in English.
  • Only students appearing for 12th class examinations in 2020 or who have already passed in 2019 are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2020.
  • Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers

  • Students who obtain the First Rank in any central or state level board exam in India held in the year 2020 will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2020 score subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
  • In addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2020, candidates will have to apply for admission to BITS through a separate application form for seeking admission to programmes offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses along with the details of their 12th class marks.
