As was reported earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has now announced the dates of the CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12. For the year 2021. This year Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams will be conducted from May 4 to June 10. However, the date sheet for the said exam is yet to be released.
It is notable that earlier this week, Shri Pokhriyal had tweeted, “I will announce the date of commencement for CBSE board exams 2021 on December 31.”
This tweet from the Education Ministry had come after the growing speculations over CBSE board exam conduction in the view of the pandemic. The ministry had even confirmed that the exams will be held after February 2021. And now by announcing the confirmed dates, all hearsays have been subsided.
For the uninitiated, CBSE board exam will have 33 percent internal choice this time and 30 percent of the syllabus has already been reduced. Furthermore, it has also been reported that there might be a substitute to board practical exams given the pandemic situation. The board exam however will be conducted offline only, using the pen-paper mode.
Over the past few months, students, parents and teachers from different states have been appealing to the government to conduct the board exams later than usual time so that students could get more time to engage with the teachers, offline in school, prior to appearing for the exams.
