The Supreme Court has announced the much-awaited verdict on whether the Central Board of Secondary Education will be conducting the pending class 12 exams. CBSE has shared its decision to cancel the pending Class 10 board examinations.
The exams scheduled from July 1 to July 15 stand canceled, and the board will conduct exams when condition is conducive. The Class 10 examinations have been canceled, and Class 12 examination, however, is optional. CBSE will hold class 12 exams as soon as the conditions are conducive for students who opt to appear for the exams. CBSE has a scheme in which marks scored in past 3 exams will be taken into account.
The CBSE on March 18 decided to postpone the remaining class 12 board exams so as to protect students from coronavirus.
Subsequently, in the last week of May, the CBSE had announced the dates of the exams to be conducted from July 1 to July 15. Because the coronavirus cases have been consistently rising, parents started an online campaign on Twitter requesting the government not to call students to take the exam.
