The NIOS Examination will be held in October and November Months this Year
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has appealed to its affiliated schools across the country to cooperate in the successful conduct of public examinations conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
These examinations will be conducted in October-November 2025. In this regard, CBSE has sent an official notification to all school heads and principals.
NIOS is the largest open schooling system in the country, which functions under the Ministry of Education. This institute conducts public examinations twice a year for class 10th, 12th and vocational courses. These examinations require suitable examination centers and infrastructure, in which the contribution of CBSE schools is important.
CBSE has written in its letter that, “NIOS needs your cooperation to conduct the next public examinations to be held in October/November 2025. With your help, we can facilitate the examination process of lakhs of students.”
CBSE has appealed to the schools to register themselves by visiting the NIOS website and indicate that they are willing to provide their facilities as examination centers for these examinations. Schools have to apply through the “Register Now” option in the “Examination Center” section by visiting the link given below:

NIOS is an important educational option for those students who cannot get regular school education due to some reason. This institution not only provides secondary and higher secondary level education, but also empowers students through vocational training, life-skills and enrichment programs. It proves to be a powerful medium especially for students from rural areas, working youth, Divyang students and school dropouts.
This step of CBSE is an important initiative towards promoting inclusive education. When schools across the country participate in the conduct of these examinations in collaboration with NIOS, it gives an opportunity to lakhs of students to get education who are deprived of traditional schooling.
The successful conduct of public examinations conducted by NIOS can be possible only when CBSE affiliated schools across the country share their resources. This appeal issued by the board is proof that cooperation and support is necessary at every level of education. If schools become a part of this initiative, it will be a positive step towards improving the future of lakhs of students.
School heads are requested to participate in this effort by registering on the NIOS website at the earliest and play a strong social role in the field of education.
