In the circular announced by the central board of secondary education (CBSE) on 2nd August 2021, CBSE has announced the conduction of Improvement/Compartment Examination 2021.
Students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded by CBSE can appear in the Improvement/Compartment Examination 2021. CBSE will be holding the examination as stated in the “Policy for Tabulation of Marks for Class XII, 2021.” CBSE has proposed to conduct examinations between 16.08.2021 to 15.09.2021. The date sheet of this examination will be released soon.
Class XII students who are not contended by the marks awarded will be given an opportunity. And as per the policy, marks scored in the later examination will be considered as final. The option is also for private, Patrachar, and 2nd chance compartment candidates, whose result has not been declared due to their non-availability of yearlong assessment details.
Students who are not able to meet the qualifying criteria in one subject and are placed in the compartment category will also be an opportunity.
Students of class XII and class X are given an opportunity to improve their performance only in one subject in compartment examinations in compliance with the information communicated by CBSE. Better of the two marks obtained in the subject will be considered for declaration of results.
CBSE will be holding compartment examinations at the designated centers in the country and abroad, keeping the COVID Protocols in view. In each centre, only a few numbers of students will be allotted to implement social distancing norms strictly.
Candidates will be examined from the reduced syllabus as prescribed for the year of examination. The design of the question paper will be similar to the sample question papers uploaded for the 2021 examination on the board’s website.
