Highest Number Of Students Took JEE Main in The Last Four Years
The craze towards Engineering Studies is increasing in the country. The youth are looking at career prospects in the science-maths subject. Most of the students taking maths are seeking admission in engineering courses. If we have a look at the number of students appearing in engineering entrance exams in the country, it is continuously increasing.
This year, the maximum number of students appeared in JEE-Advanced in 11 years for admission to IITs, NITs, and IIITs, while the maximum number of students appeared in JEE-Mains in four years.
The future belongs to technology and the use of technology has started in every field in the country. In view of this, the demand for technical education is also increasing. This is the reason why youth are showing an inclination towards engineering education because there are more possibilities of getting employment in this field in the coming time.
At the same time, the big engineering institutes of the country are making changes in their courses according to employment. Courses are being prepared keeping in mind the challenges of the coming times. For this, engineering institutes are getting associated with industries.

Engineering Education in The Country
There are more than 2,500 technical education institutes including private and government engineering colleges, IIT-NIT in the country. It includes more than 200 private and government universities.
Every year more than 5 lakh students are getting engineering degree from these institutes. These Engineers are getting employment in Engineering and Technology, IT, Software, Research and development, Education, Consultancy, Finance, Design, Industry, Core Sector, Data and business Analyst, Civil Services, Corporate Sector, PSU, Bank PO etc.
Misconceptions About Employment
There is a misconception about getting employment in the field of engineering education that every year the number of engineering graduates is increasing and jobs are not available in proportion to it, whereas in reality employment opportunities are increasing. But among graduate youth,
Lack of skills for employment is coming to the fore or deficiencies are found in the degree of the students. To make students employable, companies are now establishing direct association with educational institutions. Educational institutions have also started making their courses job-oriented.
Technical studies are being made advanced by changing the courses according to the modern era. Nowadays companies select students during B.Tech. and also give their PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers). After this, students are prepared according to the needs of the company. At present, with the increase in the number of engineers, employment opportunities are also increasing.
Future Belongs To The Digital Era
The future will be technology and digital-based. In view of this, most of the IITs and other renowned engineering institutes have started courses like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Block Chain, and Internet of Things. There are more career prospects in these courses in the near future. That’s why the trend of students is being seen in computer science as well as in these fields.
