CSAB Counseling 2025 Registration & Choice Filling Begins

Opportunity to Fill more than 600 Choices of 103 Colleges

Three special rounds of counseling are being conducted by CSAB between 30 July and 22 August for the seats that remained vacant after JEE counseling in 103 top engineering institutes including NIT-IIIT-GFTIs of the country.

Registration and choice filling for CSAB counseling has already started. The last date for choice filling is 7 August till 8 pm.

13727 Seats Vacant in NIT-IIIT-GFTIs

ALLEN Career Institute’s education expert said that according to the vacant seat matrix released on the CSAB website, a total of 13727 seats are vacant in 103 colleges including NIT-IIIT, out of which 32 NITs have 4580 seats, out of which 3516 are from gender neutral pool and 1064 seats from female pool.

26 IIITs have 3087 seats, out of which 2586 are from gender neutral pool and 501 seats from female pool and 45 GFTIs have a total of 6060 seats, out of which 5899 are from gender neutral pool and 161 seats from female pool.

Out of these 13727 vacant seats, 12000 are from gender neutral pool and 1727 seats are from female pool on which CSAB counseling is being done.

This means that in JoSAA counseling, there were a total of 13 thousand 727 seats on which either no one got admission or students have withdrawn from these seats.

According to expert, in CSAB counseling, students have been given the option to fill more than 600 college branch choices for a total of 13727 seats of 98 institutes including NIT-IIIT.

This includes more than 300 branch choices of 32 NITs, more than 100 branch choices of 26 IIITs and more than 200 branch choices of 45 GFTIs.

In the special round counseling, students who have not been allotted any seat in JoSAA counseling can participate as well as all those students who have participated in JoSAA counseling earlier and have deposited partial admission fee after college allocation by NIT system and also those students who have left the allotted seat in JoSAA counseling.

All these students will be eligible to participate. In the special round choice filling, students should fill as many college choices as possible according to their interest, because the seat matrix released on the website is only estimated.

There is a possibility of more seats remaining vacant than this. Also, students who were allotted any college seat in JoSAA counseling, if they are participating in the special round counseling and they do not get a better college seat than the one they got, then the college seat allotted to them in JoSAA counseling will be re-allocated.
