NIT at 7 Lakh 62 Thousand 478 Rank and IIIT at 1 Lakh 40 Thousand 426*
Seat allocation for the second round of CSAB counselling 2025 being conducted for 13,727 vacant seats in 98 colleges including NIT, IIIT of the country has been released.
The third round seat allocation will be released on 19th August at 5 pm. After this, all the students will have to physically report between 20th and 23rd August for final admission in the allotted NIT-IIIT.
Education Expert of ALLEN Career Institute told that as per the data released after the second round of seat allocation of CSAB special counselling 2025, students of rank 7 lakh 62 thousand 478 from open category have been allotted NIT from gender neutral pool, who were allotted civil branch from home state quota in NIT Sikkim, while the closing rank of NIT in open from female pool was 9 lakh 40,601, this girl got production branch of NIT Agartala from home state quota.
Also, the closing rank of IIIT was 1 lakh 40 thousand 426 from gender neutral pool and 1 lakh 89 thousand 557 from female pool. They were allotted Electronics and Communication branch of IIIT Manipur.

The closing rank of GFTI was 10,74,120 from gender neutral pool and 14,38,750 from female pool. Students could surrender their allotted seat and get their fees refunded only in the second round of online reporting.
CSAB will refund the remaining fee after deducting Rs. 5000 as counselling fee. Apart from this, if the student withdraws the allotted seat of JoSAA and gets it refunded, then the remaining fee will be refunded after deducting Rs. 12,000 as counselling fee.
Students cannot withdraw from their allotted seat after the third round of seat allocation and no refund will be given if the student leaves the seat himself.
