CUET (UG Science) registrations to commence from 2nd April
The National Testing Agency has issued a public notice of the CUET. Admission to the Undergraduate programs of the Central Universities of the country is given through the CUET.
What is CUET?
CUET stands for Common Universities Entrance Test and National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts CUET (UG Science). CUET exam is a single-window opportunity for students to seek admission in any of the 45 central universities across the country. The universities have the discretion on the admission processes.
CUET 2022 to be held in CBT mode
The CUET (UG) – 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. Test Pattern Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions.
Eligibility for CUET 2022
Candidates who wish to appear for CUET (UG) – 2022 are advised to go through the required eligibility of the desired University/ Universities for selecting the options from UG Programmes being offered. Students of any education board in the country including CBSE and state boards can appear for CUET. The Application will be open from 02.04.2022 to 30.04.2022. The aspirants who desire to appear for the test may refer to the Information Bulletin for admission to Undergraduate programs of the desired Central Universities (CUs) for admission into the Undergraduate Programmes.

Examination Structure for CUET (UG) – 2022
CUET (UG) – 2022 will consist of the following 4 Sections:
- Section IA – 13 Languages
- Section IB – 19 Languages
- Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects
- Section III – General Test
CUET exam medium
Exams can be given in 13 languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu).
Syllabus for science subjects based on class 12
All questions in various testing areas will be benchmarked at the level of Class XII only. Follow class 11th and 12th NCERT Books for the preparation of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects. There is no additional burden of the books for CUET preparation. No reference books are required for the CUET examinations. Students having studied the Class XII Board syllabus would be able to do well in CUET (UG) – 2022. Practice Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) as per the CUET pattern.
No syllabus for common subjects
There is no defined syllabus for the preparation of the common subjects which include mental ability, Logical reasoning and numerical and General Knowledge. Grasp basic concepts for the common subjects from the class 9 and class 10 syllabuses. Remain updated with the General Knowledge.
Practice mock tests
For perfection in the preparation for the CUET Examination, practice mock tests as many as possible.
Read common chapters of board and CUET
Although the examination dates of CUET have not been announced so far it is expected that the CUET 2022 examination may be held in May-June. Class 12 appearing students should focus on those chapters more which are common in Board and CUET for success in both boards and CUET.
Online registrations from 2 April-30 April
According to the notification issued on the official website cucet.nta.nic.in, Online Application Forms for Undergraduate Programmes will open from 02.04.2022; the link for the same will be made available on the official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.
