In a welcoming decision towards the best interest of students and ALLEN Career Institute, Delhi High Court has directed defendant mobile app Telegram to take down/disable the Telegram channels/accounts providing Allen Career Institute’s copyrighted study material,videos and test papers etc.
The decision was passed by The Delhi High Court on Wednesday (18th November) as an ad interim order against Telegram Mobile Internet application for breaching the copyrighted policy of Allen and using its study material and lectures in an unethical way.
This verdict from Delhi HC came in regards to the case Allen Career Institute had submitted before the honorable Court. In its case, Allen stated how the institute has been providing coaching to the students all across the country; helping them prepare for entrance exams like IIT-JEE and NEET. Over the 32 years of unparalleled legacy, Allen has been teaching students with utmost transparency and integrity. By unethically using the copyrighted material of Allen, app like the Telegram, is not only breaching the copyrighted policy but also violating the ethical code.
The decision was headed by Single Judge bench of Justice Rajiv Shakdher who provided Telegram with a list containing names/links of 31 channels available on its platform, allegedly providing the copyrighted study material and lectures of Allen; asking an immediate stop to this unethical practice. The decision has thus reestablished the faith in ethics & principles.
