Education Minister Interacts with Students over NEET 2021 & JEE Main: Read More Details Here

Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, was part of a webinar held on December 10, 2020 where he interacted with the students and talked about NEET 2021 and JEE Main, while answering a lot of questions concerning the exams.

The LIVE session started at 10:00 AM where Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ stated that there are no plans whatsoever to cancel NEET 2021. Moreover, he even stated that the ministry is thinking of conducting the JEE Main exam in multiple sessions.

It is to be noted that over the last few days, there were reports doing the rounds about students demanding the postponement of NEET 2021. Some even asked for the exam to be cancelled considering the pandemic.

In order to clear the doubts of students in regards to the exams, Mr. Pokhriyal interacted with them via a LIVE session where students were given the chance to ask their doubts & concerns regarding CBSE board exam 2021, JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 using the #EducationMinisterGoesLive

Students participated in the session with great enthusiasm and put across their concerns before the education minister. Some asked for reducing the CBSE board exam syllabus for 2021 while some students even requested Mr. Pokhriyal to announce the exam dates.

The students aspiring for pre-medical and pre-engineering exams, JEE and NEET, for the session 2021, asked for the syllabus of the exams as well as the postponement.

Addressing the questions, Mr. Pokhriyal stated that if students aren’t able to attend schools for lab-related works, conducting the practical exams will not be possible. And he assured that a discussion will be done on the same.

Answering students who requested for 10 to 20% reduction in the syllabus, he shared that CBSE has already cut down the syllabus by 30%.

Any decision regarding exam postponement will only be taken if the situation shows no change and even then, it will be done after thorough evaluation of the situation.
