Spot Round Counselling 2025 in DTU, NSUT, IIIT Delhi and Indira Gandhi College for Women
The schedule for Spot Round Counselling for admission to Delhi Technological University (DTU), Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Delhi) and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has been officially released.
This counselling is conducted for those seats which remain vacant even after the five rounds of JAC Delhi counselling. It is a golden opportunity for those candidates with upto 2 lac AIR in JEE Main 2025.
What is Spot Round Counselling?
Spot Round Counselling is a special process which gives an opportunity to those candidates who have not been allotted a seat in any college or due to some reason they did not report, did not pay the fee or there was any mistake in document verification. This counselling will be conducted in offline mode in DTU Auditorium.
Who can participate in the spot round?
All students who fall in the following categories are eligible to participate in this counseling:
- Those who registered under JAC Delhi.
- Seat was not allotted in any college.
- Allotment was done but got cancelled.
- Did not report or did not pay the fees.
- There was a mistake in document verification.
Rank Ranges for whom Spot Round can be beneficial
Outside Delhi:
- Open Category: Rank ≤ 80,000
- OBC/EWS: Rank ≤ 1,00,000
- SC/ST: Rank ≤ 3,00,000
Delhi Students (11th-12th from Delhi):
- Open Category: Rank ≤ 2,00,000
- OBC/EWS: Rank ≤ 3,00,000
- SC/ST: Rank ≤ 5,00,000
Based on the above data, it is seen that in previous years, students with lower ranks have also got admission in good courses.
Required Documents
The following documents are mandatory to be brought along to participate in spot round counselling:
- Class 10th mark sheet
- Class 12th mark sheet
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Medical fitness certificate
- Copy of JAC Delhi registration
- Demand draft of ₹95,000 – Payable in the name of JAC DELHI
How will the counselling process be?
- On the day of reporting, Merit list will be prepared on the basis of JEE Main rank.
- On-the-spot seats will be informed.
- Students will be allotted a branch/college based on their merit and seat availability.
