Kota that is known to be the education hub for the preparation of Engineering and Medical Entrance Examination in the country, is spreading the light of education in even the remotest of the villages. Inspired by the success of students in Kota, students of such villages, which lack even the basic facilities, where even schools are up to only primary level, are also coming here to fulfill their dreams of studying at the IITs and prestigious medical colleges of the nation.
Owing to Kota’s environment, ALLEN Career Institute’s student Bhairulal Jat, originally from New Arjiyaa village in Bhilwara, will be the first student of the Arjiya Panchayat, who will enter the IIT. Bhairulal got 1143rd rank in OBC category in JEE-Advance and 6750th rank in general category. He scored 88 percent in the 10th board and 83 percent in the 12th board.
According to Bhairulal, his family owns a 4-5 bigha land in his village. His parents aren’t educated. Father Gopal Lal sells milk along with farming. Mother Seema Devi is a homemaker. To help Bhairulal in his studies along with the family, his mother has also worked as a MGNREGA labourer. Till his 5th class, he studied at a private school in his village, post which he went to study at the government school of Arijiya till 10th and scored 88%. Because of his good marks, an engineer himself, Ghanshyam Vaishnav, from the same village suggested him to take admission in Kota. Even the village teachers supported his decision and motivated him and brought him to Kota.
“He himself got me admitted to ALLEN Career Institute. The institute waved off half of my fees because of my talent and poor economic conditions of my family. I felt great coming here. I got to know the difference between the level of education in my village and that of Kota. Here the national level competition is available, which constantly helps the student to improve their preparation and move ahead in the direction of their goa,” said Bhairulal.
He added that his village is very backward and the people there are a lot unaware till date. Not even a single person is having a government job from there. People lack resources and the village lags behind even in the basic amenities.
“Now I want to do B.Tech in Mechanical or Computer Science from IIT. I want to pursue administrative services, preparing for the IAS after the IIT. I want to bring awareness in the village, so that the children there should come forward, read in good institutions of the country and bring prosperity to the village. I will bring awareness about the education among the youth here so that they can polish their talent and fulfill their dreams.
The talents like Bhairulal must come forward, so that not only the dreams of their parents but even those of the entire village may get fulfilled, that is the purpose of the ALLEN Career Institute. The Institute will continue to help such students. – Naveen Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute
