About CUET (UG)-2022

The common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG)-2022) has been introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all the Central Universities under the Ministry of Education (MoE). The CUET will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country. The examination is particularly beneficial for the rural and other remote areas of the country and helps establish a better connection with the prestigious Universities of the country. A single examination will enable the candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admission process to various Central Universities.

There are 45 central universities in India that have come together for the first time to grant admission for their undergraduate courses through a single entrance test. The CUET-UG examination will be conducted in an online mode.

Growing Craze for the CUET-UG 2022

Gradually, CUET-UG 2022 has emerged as the second biggest examination after NEET due to the growing interest of the students in it. Students seeking admissions to famous and top Universities like JNU, Jamia, BHU, etc are taking CUET-UG. NTA conducts CUET-UG. The registrations for CUET-UG 2022 have ended and the examination is most likely to be held in July 2022.

Close to 12 lakh students have registered themselves for the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 for admissions to various undergraduate courses

The National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET 2022 in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, and Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The entrance test will be held in 547 cities within India and in 13 cities outside India.

As per UGC, many of the CUET-UG aspirants are from remote and rural areas. Students from every state and union territory have applied for CUET-UG this year.

CUET-UG grants admissions to Top Universities without high marks in class 12

CUET-UG allows students to seek admission to the best universities in the country without scoring very high marks in the range of 99 to 100 percent in class 12 board exams. CUET may significantly reduce students’ pressure to get perfect scores in the Class 12 Board exams.

Large numbers of Universities are participating in CUET-UG and more universities may become part of CUET in near future.

The CUET-qualified candidates will be able to register for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities across the country.

The CUET UG exam for the academic session 2022-23 will be held in computer-based mode.

PRACTICING TEST PAPER:

The exam is in online mode and it requires practice. It is advisable to practice as many tests as one can to get acquainted with the paper pattern and mode of examination. One can practice getting an idea of how an online testing platform works and also can identify its weaknesses and work accordingly.

For triumph in the CUET-UG, students are advised to focus on the syllabus and NCERT books.

CUET-UG may be organized twice a year

Like JEE and NEET, CUET may also be organized twice a year, beginning next year or during academic session 2023. The possibility that CUET will be conducted twice a year, will further help the students to plan and attempt CUET. Students from state boards will not be at a disadvantage in the undergraduate admission process.
