Centre Registration for HBCSE Stage-1 (NSE) begins

The HBCSE Stage-1 will be held on 26 November (NSEA) & 27 November (NSEP, NSEC, NSEB & NSJS)

The institution/center registrations for the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) Stage-1 (NSE) have commenced. The HBCSE Stage-1 examination is conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). National Standard Examination (NSE) in Physics is NSEP,  Chemistry is NSEC, Biology is NSEB, is Chemistry is NSEC, NSE in Biology is NSEB, NSE in Astronomy is NSEA, and NSE in Junior Science is NSEJS.

HBCSE Stage-1 (NSE) Centre registration begins

Vidyalaya, School, Junior College, Pre-University College, Inter College, Degree or PG College, Autonomous College which desire to be a centre for National Standard Examination (NSE) 2022-23 can register themselves from 1st August to 21st August. The list of the registered centers will be declared on 21st August.

Student Enrolment for HBCSE Stage-1 (NSE) to commence on 21 August

Student Enrolment for HBCSE Stage-1 (NSE) will commence on 21 August 2023 once the list of the registered examination centres for NSE is declared. The last date for student enrolment for NSE will be 14 September 2022.

HBCSE Stage-1 (NSE) Exam Dates

The HBCSE Stage-1 (NSE) examinations will be held in the last week of November. While NSEA will be held on 26th November 2022, the NSEC, NSEB, NSEA, & NSJS will be organized on 27th November. The expected date of result of HBCSE Stage-1 is 29 December 2022. The stage-1 examination has been conducted by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) for the last 34 years. IAPT is an association of Physics Teachers spread throughout the country and was started by Dr. D.P. Khandelwal in 1984. It has nearly 8000 life members.

WHAT IS NSE?

National Standard Examination (NSE) is the first stage for the international Olympiad which is coordinated by IAPT. All further stages are conducted by Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai. After the NSE examination, the next step for the eligible students is the Indian National Olympiad (INO) examination in the respective subjects.

INOs to be held in February 2023

Indian National Olympiad Examinations (INOs) will be held in the first week of February 2023 and the expected result of the INOs is the last week of February 2023. Students will have to appear in for NSEP, or NSEC, NSEB, NSEA, and NSJS, and then through the Indian National Physics Olympiad (IpHO), Internaitonal Chemistry Olympiad, INChO, OR INAO, or INJSO you may be selected for the further stages of the respective International Olympiad Programmes.
