ICSE board to conduct ‘One Exam for ICSE 2023, Syllabus Revised
Alike CBSE, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) will also conduct ‘One Examination’ for the ICSE & ISC board 2023 examination instead of the ‘2 Semester Examination’ pattern.
As Covid-19 situation eases, ICSE returns to ‘One Examination’
On the lines of the CBSE board, the ICSE board had introduced 2 stage examinations for the ICSE & ISC board examination for the year 2022 due to the unprecedented situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. While CBSE had conducted Class 10 and class 12 examinations in 2 terms, ICSE had also organized ICSE & ISC examinations in 2 semesters. Now when the Covid-19 pandemic has diluted and normalcy is returning fast, the ICSE board has decided to return to its previous practice of conducting ‘One Examination’ instead of a 2-semester examination pattern.
ICSE in its circular to all the heads of the schools has informed that “The CISCE has decided to conduct only ONE EXAMINATION at the end of the Academic Year 2023 at both ICSE & ISC levels”. The CISCE proposes to hold the said examinations tentatively in the months of February/ March 2023.
ICSE revises syllabus for the ICSE & ISC 2023 Examination
ICSE board has also revised the syllabus for the ICSE & ISC 2023 Examination. ICSE in its circular has stated that “Please note the Syllabus for the ICSE & ISC Year 2023 Examination has been revised in select subjects. The revised syllabus is available on the CISCE website, under the Publication Section”.
ICSE board has urged the school heads to plan the academic calendar in their respective schools accordingly, so as to prepare the students adequately for the examinations.
Specimen papers for all subjects to be available on the CISCE website in July
ICSE board has communicated to the heads of the school that the specimen papers for all subjects will be made available on the website of the CISCE i.e., www.cisce.org in the month of July 2022. ICSE board has also requested to school heads to disseminate the important information about the One Examination pattern, revised syllabus, and specimen papers to all the students, teachers, parents, and guardians.
