IIT-Mumbai to organize JEE-Advanced 2022. Aspirants to get additional chances who could not make the second attempt of JEE-Advanced in the years 2020 & 2021
IIT-Mumbai releases the Notification
.
The wait of the IIT-JEE aspirants for Notification of JEE-Advanced 2022 is finally over now as IIT-Mumbai will conduct the prestigious JEE-Advanced 2022 examination this year, which is organized for admission on 14483 seats of 23 IITs. These relaxations will be special one-time measures only due to the exceptional circumstances and hardships faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Although dates for the JEE-Mains 2022 and JEE-Advanced 2022 have not been announced yet which will be announced later.
IIT-Mumbai released the Notification for the IIT eligibility.
As per the notice of IIT-Mumbai, an additional chance will be given to the Covid-19 affected aspirants. These are those aspirants who could not take JEE-Advanced in the year 2020 or 2021. If any such aspirant has not appeared for the second attempt of the JEE-Advanced so far, he will be allowed to take the second attempt for JEE-Advanced in 2022.
ONE-TIME MEASURE FOR THOSE WHO FIRST APPEARED IN THE CLASS 12 EXAM IN 2020/2021 AND SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED FOR JEE ADVANCED 2021 BUT DID NOT APPEAR
Also, those aspirants would be benefitted, who had cracked their class 12 for first time in the year 2020 or 2021 and also successfully registered themselves for taking the JEE-Advanced 2021 but were absent in both the papers, i.e., Paper-1 and Paper-2 of JEE Advanced 2021, due to Covid-19 or any other reason.
Those aspirants who had filled the application form but later could not take the examination will not have to prove their eligibility for JEE-Mains again. Such aspirants will be considered directly eligible for JEE-Advanced 2022.
While those aspirants, who cleared their class 12 in either 2020 or 2021 but did not, appear in the JEE-Advanced in any of these two years, will have to appear for JEE-Mains 2022 to prove their eligibility among the top 2.50 lakh aspirants for JEE-Advanced 2022.
As per the JEE-Advanced Notification, no aspirant can appear for more than 2 attempts in the JEE-Advanced examination. However, several aspirants are still waiting for the announcement of the JEE-Main examination dates.
