IJSO 2018 Result : Students of ALLEN Career Institute Bagged 4 Gold and 1 Silver Medal in IJSO-2018

Students of Allen Career Institute proved their dominance in the result of 15th International Junior Science Olympiad. IJSO 2018 was held in Botswana from 3rd December until 10th December 2018. The Indian team won 6 medals out of which 5 medals are bagged by the students of ALLEN, making India one of the best performers in the world.

Sh. Naveen Maheshwari, Director of ALLEN Career Institute said,  About 300 meritorious students aged up to 15 years, from 50 countries participated in IJSO-2018 wherein 6 students represented India out of which 5 students were from Allen Career Institute. Indian team received 5 gold and 1 silver medal in 15th International Junior Science Olympiad. It is a proud moment for all of us that the students of Allen Career Institute won 4 Gold and 1 Silver medal.

Ameya Deshmukh, Mohit Gupta, Naman Singh Rana, Vaibhav Raj won the gold medal while Barun Parua won a silver medal and brought glory to the nation. All of them are classroom students of Allen while Ameya Deshmukh is Classroom (Workshop) Student of Allen. These students have exhibited the winning streak and made it to the World’s Most Prestigious Science Examination after months of exhaustive training at ALLEN and after cracking difficult levels of NSEJS, INJSO, OCSC which offered very tough competition on National Level.

IJSO is an annual academic competition that covers physics, chemistry and biology at the same time, for junior science students. The competition is known for its intricacy as it requires wide knowledge range in all the three basic sciences. Top junior science students from each country are selected to participate in the competition and each is given a chance to compete with their counterparts from across the globe. The final stage includes more than 300 talented students from across 50 countries with age up to 15 years. 

The Junior Science Olympiad follows 5 stages. Stage 1 is National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS) which was held in November 2017. In this stage total, 75 students from ALLEN got selected for the next stage. Stage 2 is Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO) which was held in January 2018. In this stage total 18 students got selected from ALLEN for next stage. Total 41 students from all over INDIA got selected in this stage. Stage 3 is Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC); in this stage total, 6 students get selected to represent INDIA. Out of Total 6 students, 5 were from ALLEN. The 4th stage is Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT) in which all the 6 selected students were given training before departing for the International Level. And the 5th and final stage is International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) which was held in Gaborone, Botswana, Southern Africa.
