4 ALLEN students are selected in an Indian Team of 6 for the 18th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)
4 ALLENites to represent India in IJSO 2021
Students of ALLEN Career Institute have been consistently performing well in engineering and medical entrance examinations along with national and international Olympiads. It has been proved once again with the announcement of the Indian Team for the final stage of the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO). 6 students will represent India in this 18th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) to be hosted by UAE. In this, 4 students are from ALLEN Career Institute. Due to Covid-19, these students will virtually participate in IJSO 2021 from 12 to 21 December.
Sh Naveen Maheshwari (Director, ALLEN) said ALLENites Devesh Bhaiya of class 9, Animesh Pradhan, Rajdeep Mishra and Ved Lahoti of class 10 will represent India. All these students are from the ALLEN Classroom Program. These students have been selected based on the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Junior Science (IOQJS) 2021 Part II and the Junior Science Olympiad Selection Test (JSOST) 2021.
International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)
The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is an annual individual and team competition in the Natural Sciences for the students. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year, IOQJS was conducted in Part 1 (NSEJS) and Part 2 (INJSO). IOQJS was a three-hour two-part examination jointly organised by the Indian Association of Physics Teacher and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE).
After the IOQJS Part II results, students were selected for Online Junior Science Olympiad Orientation Camp. Based on the performance in IOQJS part II and JSOST, top 6 students are selected for the Indian Team.
