CISCE has Postponed the Chemistry Examination & Issued Revised Dates for the Chemistry Exam
The ISC Chemistry Paper 1 (theoretical exam) for the Indian School Certificate (Class 12) was unexpectedly postponed by the CISCE board, with only moments to spare before the exam began on Monday. Just two hours before the exam, on Monday, February 26, 2024, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) decided to postpone the Chemistry exam.
Since CISCE decided to postpone the chemistry paper at the last minute, the revelation shocked parents, and students alike. Students don’t need to worry, though, as the CISCE board has released the updated chemistry exam timetable. The CISCE board said in a circular that it has decided to postpone the chemistry exam. CISCE has not given any specific reason for the postponement of the chemistry examination.

About the reason behind the postponement decision, the CISCE circular asserted that the postponement is due to “unforeseen circumstances” and the paper is now rescheduled for March 21.
CISCE board in its notification said that “The ISC Chemistry Paper 1 (Theory) examination, scheduled for Monday, 26th February 2024, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The ISC Year 2024 Chemistry Paper 1 (Theory) examination has been rescheduled for Thursday, 21st March 2024, 2 PM. You are requested to kindly disseminate this information to all concerned. We thank you for your support in the matter.”
However, there were alleged rumours that the CISCE paper has been leaked on the social media platforms but the Board is tight-lipped on the issue and has not cited any reason for the chemistry examination postponement. There are large numbers of schools in the country which are affiliated to CISCE so the examination postponement decision has come as a shocker to a large number of CISCE board students.
CISCE board examination is underway these days and will conclude in the first week of April. The Class 12 or ISC examinations of CISCE board began on February 12 and will conclude on April 3, 2024.
