JEE advanced announces rank list: First seat allotment details

On June 23, Joint Seat Allocation Authority of JEE declared the All India rank list. The candidates were expected to fill in their choices and complete formalities from the second day of announcement of ranks. From June 24 to June 29, the process of formalities continued.

A mock seat allotment was made by the authorities on June 28.

The registered aspirants locked their choices as per the schedule and waited for the first round of seat allotment.

Schedule for allotments:

  • First round seat allotment will be published today between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Aspirants who are happy with their allotments can report to the authorities and take admission till July 5
  • In case the aspirant wants to change his/her allotment, he/she may apply for further lists
  • A total of four rounds of seat allotment will take place

First Round Seat Allotment:

  • Name of the organisation: Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2016
  • Name of the exam: JEE 2016
  • Starting date of candidate registration: June 24, 2016
  • Choice filling ended on: June 29, 2016
  • Category: First Round Seat Allotment
  • Status: To be declared from 10 am to 4 pm on June 30, 2016

How to check allotments:

  • Go to the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority
  • Click on link displaying ‘First Round Seat Allotment 2016’
  • Login to your account with required details in provided fields
  • Take printout of allotment page for further reference
