JEE Main 2020 Exam of COVID-Positive Students Tomorrow.

JEE Main 2020 Exam of COVID-Positive Students Tomorrow. Information given through email and call, new admit cards released

Kota. Country’s most revered engineer entrance exam JEE-Main which got conducted from September 1 to September 6, 2020, declared this year’s result on September 11, 2020. Students who were COVID positive were barred from taking the exam.

Such students, who were deprived of the examination, are now being given the opportunity to take the examination by the National Testing Agency. The examination of the COVID positive students is going to be held on Thursday, September 24. The information regarding the same was given to the students through e-mail, phone and admit cards have also been issued.

ALLEN Career Institute’s, Career Counselling Expert, said that NTA is conducting the BE-B.Tech from 9 to 12 in the morning and B-Arch from 3 to 6 in the afternoon for the COVID-19 positive students who were not able to take the exam in the past.

The new admit cards of these students have also been released on the JEE-Main website. The advisories and guidelines of COVID are also mentioned in the issued admit cards as before. Also, like earlier, students have been asked to report 1 hour before the commencement of the examination.

As was the case in the September 1 to 6 JEE-Main exams, students will have to take a self-declaration form along with their admit card, on which they will have to get their photo, left hand thumb impression and signature of their guardian along with COVID related information. Student will have to do own signature in this declaration form in front of the examiner at the examination centre. Students have to bring with them a photo, pen, photo ID, transparent drinking water bottle and sanitizer bottle.

Career Counselling Expert also shared that the students have also been given directions through e-mail. In these guidelines, students had to email a copy of the admit card, COVID-19 positive report issued for the examination held earlier in September, along with a report of being negative, and certificates related to the current address. However, all these formalities are not written separately in the admit card.

What’s next?

On the other hand, students are questioning there is no clarity on how NTA will declare the result because in the result declared on September 11, the JEE-Main result of these students was released, marked as Absent in All India Rank. Other than this, there will be many students who have not been declared eligible for JEE-Advanced on the basis of qualifying the minimum cut-off of the JEE Main.

At the same time, the registration process for JEE-Advanced exam has also been completed and the examination is being conducted on September 27, 2020. In such case, if these students qualify the minimum cut-off of JEE-Main and are declared eligible for Advanced, then how they will be given an opportunity for registration and examination, is not yet clear.
