JEE Main 2020 Update | NTA Introduced QR system to remove Application Errors

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the national level undergraduate engineering entrance exam for admissions in the undergraduate engineering programs at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). After clearing the JEE Main exam, candidate gets eligible for appearing in JEE advanced which is the entrance exam for admissions to programs offered by the IITs.

NTA will be conducting JEE Main in 224 cities of the country between January 6th and 11th, 2020. During the registration process, over 2 lakh 83 thousand students have applied in Country’s biggest engineering entrance exam so far.

The last date for filling the application form will be 10th October (extended date as per latest Update)

NTA Query Redressal system has been set up to address inquiries of students related to change in information such as student’s own name, parent’s name, class, course code, state code of eligibility, multiple fee payment, etc. For this, the student can log in and enter the related questions and send it directly to NTA. Along with this, they can also upload the supporting documents related to the mistake. On asking a question, the student will be given a unique registration number, so that they can check the status of their query in the future. This is the first time this facility has been introduced to the students which enable quick response and provides a quick solution to the students.

Students can rectify errors and make corrections in the application process from October 14 to October 20. Along with this, the option of correction has been made available in case of an error in the uploaded scanned image during the application of the students.

The student can rectify his/her uploaded scan image by going to the option given on the JEE Main website and logging in by filling in his own application number and password. Students can change their email ID and the contact number at any time in their application.
