JEE Main 2021: NTA Postpones Exam Dates For Session 4

Union Education Minister Sh Dharmendra Pradhan has announced the revised dates of JEE Main 2021 Session 4. The exam will now be held on 26th, 27th, and 31st August, and 1st and 2nd September 2021. This has been done to provide a gap of four weeks between session 3 and session 4 of the JEE(Main) 2021 Exam.

“Accordingly, the JEE(Main) 2021 session 4 will now be held on 26th, 27th & 31st August, and on 1st and 2nd September 2021. A total of 7.32 lakh candidates have already registered for JEE(Main) 2021 session 4,” tweeted by Sh Dharmendra Pradhan

Registrations for the JEE(Main) session 4 is still in progress and dates for registration will be further extended upto 20th July, 2021.

Admit Cards for Session 3, scheduled for July 20 and 25, have been released. The number of cities has also been increased from 232 to 334 to ensure Covid-19 safety procedures. The number of examination centers in every shift will also be increased from 660 to 828. All related latest COVID-19 guidelines and protocols will be followed at all examination centers.

In addition, the following measures will be taken by the NTA –

  • Face masks will be provided to all the candidates.
  • The common places, furniture & fixtures, all the computers, and seats will be sanitized before and after the exams.
  • Any computer set used in one shift will not be used in the next shift.
  • To avoid the crowd at the examination center entrance due to candidates reaching together, they will be given staggered time slots for reporting. The staggering of time slots will be done to ensure uniform distribution of candidates across rooms during entry at the examination centers.
  • The registration process at the examination will be contactless.
  • Candidates will be guided to their allocated seats ensuring that social distancing is maintained.
  • The examinations rooms, halls where the examination will be conducted will have open windows and fans for proper air circulation.
  • All the candidates who are appearing in the examination center would be seated following social distancing norms.
