JEE Main 2022 Exam was held in two shifts on computer based mode on Saturday. The analysis of the paper has been done on the basis of the feedback of the students and the responses received on CSAT. According to the students, the morning shift paper was easy. The Maths paper was relatively difficult and the students took more time to calculate. Physics and Chemistry paper was easy. The pattern of the paper remained the same as last year. Questions were asked from specific topics of JEE Main in all the subjects.

Physics Was Easier in both the shifts

Physics paper was easy in the morning shift. Almost all the topics were covered. Apart from this, questions were also asked from those topics which are only in JEE Main. One question each came from Semiconductor, EM Wave, Communication Diffraction and Transformer. One question was Match the Column one part of which had a transformer. Even in the evening shift, the paper was comparatively easier than Chemistry and Maths. It didn’t take long to answer the questions. Along with questions from all the subtopics, one question each came from JEE Main based on specific topics like Polarization, Communication, EM Wave and Semiconductor.

Chemistry Paper was of Moderate Standard

In the morning shift, the chemistry paper was of moderate standard. In which most of the questions were asked based on NCERT Syllabus. Apart from this, 2 questions each came from Electrochemistry and IUPSC while 2 questions were asked about Reaction Intermediate. One question was asked from the Experimental Technique Method. Questions were covered from almost all the chapters. Numerical type questions were difficult from the point of view of data calculation. At the same time, in the 2nd innings also, the paper was of moderate standard. Maximum questions were based on NCERT Syllabus. Around 3-4 questions were of assertion reason type. One question was from Practical Chemistry. Apart from this, one question each was asked from Metallurgy, P Block, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Chemical Kinetic, Polymer, Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry and Surface Chemistry.

Maths Paper was a Bit Tough

In the morning shift, the weightage of Calculus and 3D vectors was more in the Maths paper. Calculus was easy but solving 3D questions took more time. The circle was asked more than the coordinate geometry. In the morning shift, about 70 to 80 minutes were spent cracking the paper. Whereas in 2nd shift also the paper was tough and took time to solve. Most of the time was spent doing Walker 3D questions. Almost all the chapters were covered. It took around 80-90 minutes to solve the paper even in the 2nd shift.
