JEE Main 2022 Session-2 (28th July, Shift 1 & 2) Question Paper Analysis

The analysis of the paper has been done on the basis of the feedback of the students and the response received on CSAT

The JEE Main 2022 Session 2 (July month), which is country’s biggest engineering entrance examination for admission to BE-BTech course, was conducted on computer-based mode on Thursday.  It was the 4th day of JEE Main 2022 Session 2 on Thursday. Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari Sir, Director, Allen Career Institute said that the analysis of the paper has been done on the basis of the feedback of the students and the response received on CSAT.  According to the students, the Maths paper was of advanced level and not even once in the July session the difficulty level of the paper was easy or moderate.  In the Physics paper, in the 2nd shift, a question on Fluid Mechanics could not be answered in any of its four options.

Physics

The Physics paper was easy in the morning shift but some calculations kept the students confused. Questions were asked covering almost all the topics. Students had an objection to a question related to the Carnot engine. There was one question related to error topic. One question was based on Modulation Index in PoC. Apart from this, questions were also asked from KNM, Magnetism, AC, Thermodynamics, Elasticity, Current Electricity, Capacity, Optical Instrument. Overall paper was easy. The Physics paper in the 2nd shift was longer than the June paper, but students said that the entire paper could have been solved in about 50 minutes. Questions were asked from almost all the topics. One question from Fluid Mechanics could not be answered in all the four options.

Chemistry

The Chemistry paper was easy and normal in the morning shift in which section A was objective and section B was numerical. There were fewer questions from Physical Chemistry while questions from Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry were more. The 2nd shift paper was easy in which two questions in Section 1 were of Assertion Reasoning type. In the question of non-isoelectronic space of element of F block, more than one option was given as correct. In section 1 more questions were asked from organic and inorganic chemistry. Whereas in Section 2, the numericals of Physical Chemistry were more.

Maths

The Maths part in the morning shift paper was very difficult and lengthy. Students took more time to solve the maths paper in all the three subjects. Like in the topic with limit, the question of 1st degree infinity was easy but, it was calculative. Almost all the chapters were covered. The questions of Coordinate Geometry were also very lenient and of mixed concept like the question of bringing the orthocenter of the triangle to the circle. The questions asked in the 2nd shift too were difficult and lengthy. The difficulty level of the paper was Moderate to Difficult level. There were about 4-5 questions which were easily solved. The questions from Area, Differential, Complex Number, Define Integrate were tough. Almost all the topics were covered. The difficulty level of 80 percent questions was moderate and 10-10 percent questions were moderate and easy.
