JEE Main 2023 April session – Address Proof Issue Resolved
The application process for the country’s biggest engineering entrance exam JEE-Main April session is going on. FAQs have been released on the JEE-Main website to apply for the April Session of JEE Main 2023. The last date of application has been kept till 9 pm on March 12.
Career Counselling Expert of ALLEN Career Institute Amit Ahuja said that the FAQ was issued by the National Testing Agency on Sunday night regarding JEE-Main 2023 April session. Doubts of students related to address proof have been cleared in the FAQs. Kota was also cited for the first time by the NTA for this solution. Probably a large number of students from Kota asked questions regarding address proof. Earlier it was not clarified by NTA as to what documents will be accepted.
Amit Ahuja said that the students have been asked to scan and upload the address proofs related to their local and permanent residence addresses. According to the FAQ, apart from documents like an Aadhaar card, domicile, passport, voter ID, etc. as address proof of their current address, the aspirants can now upload a rent agreement; school ID, bank ID, and passbook. If the students do not even have the documents of the above address proof, then they can apply for JEE Main 2023 April session through the affidavit made by the court.
In this affidavit, the student will also have to write his present address as well as the period for which he is staying here. As proof of permanent address, if the aspirants do not have a permanent address on their own Aadhaar card, domicile, passport, or voter ID, then they can apply for the April exam by giving the above documents of their parents as well.
More than 40,000 new students have applied for the April session in just three days. Significantly, these are the students who did not apply for the January session earlier and are directly appearing for the April session.
