JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Question Papers Released

The National Testing Agency has released the administered Question Papers for all shifts of JEE (Main) – 2026 Session 2 today, 09 April 2026. This initiative is aimed at ensuring transparency and enabling candidates to review the questions asked during the examination.

Provisional Answer Keys and Response Sheets release date

The Provisional Answer Keys for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), along with the recorded responses of candidates, are expected to be released by 11 April 2026.

Candidates will be given an opportunity to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys, if required, through an online mechanism within a stipulated time frame, on payment of a non-refundable processing fee of *200 per question, as per the prescribed procedure.

Result Declaration

The results of JEE (Main) – 2026 Session 2 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) are likely to be declared by 20 April 2026. The results will be compiled by considering the best performance of candidates across both sessions of JEE (Main) – 2026, in accordance with the established policy.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam successfully conducted

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2026 Session 2 was successfully conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 02, 04, 05, 06, 07, and 08 April 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

The examination was held at approximately 566 centres located in 304 cities across India and 14 cities abroad, with around 11.23 lakh candidates appearing.

For Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), approximately 11.06 lakh candidates registered domestically and 4,229 internationally, with an attendance of about 93% and Aadhaar authentication of around 97%.

For Paper 2 (B.Arch./B.Planning), approximately 54,953 candidates registered domestically and 270 internationally, with an attendance of about 73% and Aadhaar authentication of around 97%. The online application process for Session 2 was conducted from 01 February to 25 February 2026.

In response to representations from candidates, the application window was re-opened on 12 and 13 March 2026. Admit Cards were released in phases on 29 March 2026 and 01 April 2026.

Proactive measures of NTA amid emerging challenges

In view of emerging challenges, NTA undertook several proactive measures:

  • International Facilitation-Candidates affected by disruptions in certain Middle Eastern regions were facilitated through rescheduling and relocation of centres with support from Indian Missions abroad.
  • Riyadh Centre Rescheduling-Due to a power disruption on 05 April 2026, the examination was rescheduled and successfully conducted on 06 and 08 April 2026.
  • Manipur Situation- Despite internet restrictions and local disruptions, the examination was conducted smoothly with the support of the State Government.
  • Coordination with CBSE-NTA ensured no overlap between JEE (Main) and Class XII Board examinations by aligning schedules and enabling candidate-specific adjustments.
  • Standardisation of Examination-The examination across all shifts maintained uniform

difficulty levels and comprehensive syllabus coverage.
