The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Seat Matrix 2018 for 23 IIT, 31 NIT, 23 IIIT and 23 GFTI. Students can now check the list of colleges on the official website:
A total of 11279 seats are being offered in the IITs (an increase of 291 seats from 2017).
All the students who have appeared in JEE Main are eligible for counselling for admission into NIT and IIIT and the students who have qualified JEE Advanced, are eligible for counselling for IIT admissions.
All eligible candidates can register themselves and fill their choices for the academic program under JoSAA, from 15 June 2018-25 June 2018 here: josaa.nic.in.
7 rounds of JoSAA counselling 2018 will be conducted where the eligible candidates will be allotted seats according to their merit and preferences. The first and second mock seat allocation will be issued on 19 June 2018 and 24 June 2018. The seat-allocation will be held on 27th June. After the seat allocation, students will have to do the document verification by going to the Reporting Center between 28 June and 2 July. On 3 July, the second round for seat allocation will take place. Whereas Round 3 will be on 6 July, Round 4 on 9 July, Round 5 on 12 July, Round 6 on 15 July and the final seventh round will be on 18 July.
