Joint counselling is going on by JoSAA for 52,453 seats in total 114 colleges of the country. Students can fill their choices of online registration and college branches till 5 pm on 25th October. The first mock seat allocation for the Joint Seat Counselling will be released on Monday, 22nd October at 10 am. This first mock seat allocation will be issued on the basis of the students who will fill their college choices in the mock seat allocation till 5 pm on 21th October. The seat allotment for the first round will be released on 27th October at 10 am. This counselling process will be completed in six phases till 24th November.
Amit Ahuja, career counselling expert of ALLEN Career Institute informed that 30 seats will be increased in CS this year.
228 seats have been increased in 23 IITs, in which 30 seats have increased this year in CS branch. CS branch is the most preferred branch by the students, so students give more priority to this branch while choosing in IIT.
Amit Ahuja Sir informed that the results of the AAT examination conducted for the architecture branch of IIT Roorkee, Kharagpur and BHU will be released on 22nd October. Students can qualify this exam only after 22nd October and fill the architecture branch in their college choice priority list in JoSAA counseling for these three IITs.
Ahuja sir told that the students have been given the option of choice filling only once, so the students should fill the choice of maximum number of colleges in the decreasing order of their priority. Students can get an idea of the trend of choosing colleges by looking at the opening and closing ranks of the colleges of the previous years.
According to their rank, the college branches ranked below the closing rank of the previous years should also be included in the order of college priority list according to their interest.
Before filling the colleges in JoSAA counseling, make a list of your priority colleges on paper and fill it online only after assessing it so that there is no possibility of mistake.
Before locking the college choice to the students, you must do a complete check because after locking it will not be possible to change it.
