JoSAA Counselling 2023 Second Round Seat Allotment Released

Second Round Of Seat Allocation Announced On josaa.nic.in

JoSAA Counselling 2023 is underway for 57 thousand 152 seats in 116 institutes including IITs, NITs, IIITs of the country. The JoSAA counselling 2023 second round seat allotment has been released josaa.nic.in.

Students who have been allotted seats for the first time in this round will have to report online by 5 pm on July 10 by uploading the necessary documents and depositing the seat acceptance fee. Students whose documents are found lacking during online reporting will have to respond by 5 pm on July 11. Otherwise, their seat will be cancelled.

  1. Visit the website josaa.nic.in.
  2. Now, go to the round 2 allotment result tab.
  3. Enter the requested details and login.
  4. Check and download your result.

The Seats Of These Students Were Cancelled

After the first round of seat allotment, OBC and EWS category students who could not submit their category certificate in online reporting after April 1, 2023, their allotted seats from the first round have been cancelled.

Also, these students have received the information about the cancellation of their allotted seat through the seat cancellation letter on their candidate portal. Now all these students have been allotted seats from the open category in the second round. All such students will have to confirm their seat by reporting again online for the seat.

These Students Will Have Dual Verification

The documents uploaded in the first round seat allotment will be re-verified from the newly allocated system of the students who have been allotted seats from IITs to NITs and NITs to IITs in the second round. After that, the newly allotted seat will be confirmed.

On the contrary, the students who have been allotted seats in the past and have opted for flat and slide, have been allotted seats from IITs to IITs and NITs to NITs in the second round, and new seats will be confirmed only on the basis of their previously verified documents.

All these students will not be able to make any claim on the allotted seat of first round on the allotment of a new seat. All these students do not even need to upload documents again in online reporting. Students can participate in further counselling by changing the float option to slide/freeze and slide option to freeze in each round of counselling.

Will Have To Tell The Reason For Seat Withdrawal

The withdrawal option has been made available for such students who want to withdraw from JoSAA counselling after the second round. Students can leave their seat and go out of counselling by filling necessary information.

For this, they will have to give a reason to JoSAA for leaving the seat. In these reasons, candidate will have to tell JoSAA as in which college and which branch, he was expected to get a seat and also whether he has got admission in any other college (except IIT, NIT) branch in the year 2023 and whether the student will again appear for JEE Main in the year 2024.

Students can withdraw from their allotted seat till the fifth round. The remaining fees will be returned to the students after deducting the counselling processing fee of Rs 4,000.
