KNOW 30-DAY STRATEGY FOR JEE MAIN 2022; PERFECT TIME-TABLE FOR SUCCESS

Every JEE Main aspirant is concerned about what to study, what to revise, & what routine to adopt in the last 30-days before JEE Main 2022? Here are some strategy tips by Brajesh Maheshwari Sir, Director, Allen Career Institute & Motivator for the JEE Main 2022 preparation.

TIPS & STRATEGY FOR CRACKING JEE MAIN; PRACTICE WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY READ; NO NEED TO LEARN NEW THINGS

Every aspirant thinks of appearing for JEE Main and cracking it to get a Hall ticket for JEE Advanced 2022. In the countdown to the JEE Main 2022, students are advised not to take up new chapters and only focus on revising whatever the aspirant has read so far.

FOCUS ON NCERT FOR JEE MAIN SUCCESS

Since NTA conducts JEE Main, and NTA is affiliated with the CBSE, whose course is NCERT based, aspirants should consider NCERT as textbooks. The aspirant should focus on NCERT, particularly for Chemistry. If the aspirant is weak in any chapter, he should practice the previous years’ question papers or read such a chapter of NCERT. Practice previous years question papers to build self-confidence, which is crucial in cracking JEE Main.

PRACTICE MOCK TESTS IN JEE MAIN LIKE ENVIRONS

Since JEE Main takes place in 2 shifts; from 9 am to 12 pm & 3 pm to 6 pm, aspirants should attempt mock tests at their homes in these 2 session timings for better practice of JEE Main sitting. Since laziness looms large in the afternoon, more practice of mock tests from 3 to 6 in the noon should be done for practice. Create an examination center-like environment at home. Get free from your nature calls before appearing for mock tests for 3 hours at home so as to practice for examination sitting.

REVISE OLD MISTAKES FIRST

Aspirants should give priority to previous mistakes prior to attempting the mock test. New mistakes are also a treasure before the actual JEE Main paper as it brings focus on such questions. Also, do detailed analysis of the attempted mock test paper.

HOW TO PRIORITIZE QUESTIONS IN THE JEE MAIN

Every question paper of each subject is divided into sections A & section B. While in section A, there will be single answer-based 20 questions with no choices, there are numerical value-based questions in Section B of the question paper. There will be 10 questions, of which the aspirant will have to attempt only 5 questions of their choice.

The aspirant should attempt their best 5 questions they think they are in command of since the first five questions will be considered for scoring.

ATTEMPT MOCK TEST AT HOME TO ELIMINATE EXAM FEAR

To get over the exam fear, aspirants should daily attempt mock tests at their homes. The practice of the questions will lead to perfection and eliminate the examination fear.

ROUTINE FOR BEST RESULTS IN JEE MAIN

Aspirants should take a heavy breakfast, normal lunch, and light dinner. Since the summer season has arrived, aspirants should take more liquids, including water, juices, etc. Every aspirant should practice mock tests and go to bed with satisfaction and wake up with determination to prepare for JEE Main.

HOW TO STUDY PHYSICS

  • For a good score those topics in which good confidence is required are:
Angular Movement, Moment of Inertia, Collision of Point Particles, Kinematics, Gravitation, Thermodynamics, Current Electricity (Emphasis on Circuits), Electromagnetics Induction (Emphasis on Inductance), Geometrical Optics, Wave Optics (Emphasis on YDSE), Modern Physics and Errors.
  • Try to cover all the topics. The topics given here have been prepared on the basis of previous JEE Main papers conducted by NTA.
  • It is to be noted that there is a high probability of more questions coming from the 12th class syllabus. Solving any question should not take much time (more than 3 to 4 minutes).
  • Make sure to round off your answers in the numerical section.

CHEMISTRY

  • Based on previous JEE Main papers we can expect that most of the questions are based on NCERT Syllabus. Apart from this, the level of questions is expected to be easy to moderate. In the JEE Main 2021 paper, out of 20 questions in the first section, most questions were theory-based, which were asked from organic and inorganic chemistry. In the second section having 10 numerical questions, more questions were from Physical Chemistry. To score well in the paper, avoid solving those questions which take more time in the calculation part.
  • Most of the questions in Chemistry are information-based, so revise frequently.
  • Read all topics from NCERT book and memorize important facts and concepts.
  • To score well solve NCERT Exampler in topics:
Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Polymers, Surface Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Solid State, Metallurgy and Coordination Chemistry.
  • Important topics in Organic Chemistry are Aldehydes and Ketones, Hydrocarbons, Halogen Derivatives and Aromatic Compounds.
  • In Inorganic Chemistry Chemical Bonding, Periodic Properties, and s-block, p-block, d-block and f-block are important topics.
  • In Physical Chemistry, the important topics are Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, Liquid Solution, and Equilibrium.

MATHS

  • Mathematics requires a lot of practice so it’s good to attempt previous years’ papers. It’s advisable for the aspirants to go through the basic mathematics formulae
  • In the analysis of previous years’ JEE-Main question papers in Maths, it has been seen that questions are asked from almost all the chapters of the syllabus, so to get a good score you must revise the entire syllabus thoroughly.
  • Vector and 3D are important topics as at least 3 questions are expected in the question paper from these subjects which are of 12 marks.

Some other key topics are:

  • Application of Derivatives, Definite Integration, Differential Equations, Area under Curve, Sequence and Series, Determinant, Matrix, Conic Section, and Probability. At least two questions are also expected from each of these topics.
  • There are some more important topics like Sets, Relations, Heights and Distances, Reasoning, Statistics, which can be revised quickly and also are important from the exam point of view so must be well-prepared.
  • Students find Permutation and combination (P&C) and Complex numbers a bit difficult. Therefore, to gain confidence in these topics, one should solve the questions asked in the previous years’ papers.
  • You should solve previous years’ question papers for proper concentration and time management.
