World Students Day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of India’s legendary scientist and also President of India, Bharat Ratna, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
World Students’ Day is celebrated every year on the 15th of October every year. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who was the 11th President of India. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October 1931 and he became the President of India on 18th July 2022. He was also a legendary scientist and educator. He was very fond of the students and considered them the future of the nation. Although United Nations has not declared the celebration of 15th October as World Students’ Day but it is being celebrated in India as World Students’ Day. He was known as the People’s President and he has a special inclination toward the promotion of education among students.
World Students’ Day epitomizes the importance of students and education. Education and students correspond with each other and plays important role in nation-building. Students are the foundation of any developing country as a country cannot progress without education. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam always stressed upon imparting education to the young generation of the country. Dr. Kalam always preached to young students about his vision for the country due to which he was the heartthrob of the students. Although Kalam was the President of India but always played the role of a teacher for the young students of the country. Dr. Kalam was himself a teacher and valued teachers as the influencers of society.
Dr. Kalam was not a mere President of India but was a very inspirational figure for the students in India and abroad. His fondness for the students and progressive views about the education system made him an inspiration for the students.
