The first hanging bridge in Rajasthan & Third in the country.
The wait of 11 years now comes to an end! Kota city has got Nation’s third and Rajasthan’s first ever hanging bridge famously based on Stray Cables is now ready to be inaugurated on 29th August by PM Narendra Modi, Live from Udaipur! The bridge was recently open for commuters for a trial before the final inauguration. A beautiful engineering marvel, the bridge has now completed country’s East-West Corridor facilitating the transportation from Delhi, Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur to Bhopal, Indore & Gwalior via Jhalawar.
The Hanging Bridge is cable-stayed with single plain suspension with the main span of 350 metres and lateral spans of 175 metres on either side of the bridge.
The bridge is around 60-metre-high from the surface of the Chambal River and is 1.5 km in length, 30 meters wide with a height of 125 meters.. With an investment of 213.59 crore INR, the Kota Chambal Bypass Bridge is all set to provide access to general public & transportation soon
