IISC – Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore has released the stream-wise final KVPY 2019 result. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. The result of KVPY Fellowship 2019 has been declared in the online mode for SA, SX and SB streams.

All India Rank List – General Merit and cut off marks:
- Stream – SA (53.00 % and above)
- Stream – SX (55.00 % and above)
- Stream – SB (50.00 % and above)
All India Rank List under Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST students in the KVPY Fellowship Program and cut off marks:
- Stream – SA (42.00 % and above)
- Stream – SX (45.00 % and above)
- Stream – SB (40.00 % and above)
All India Rank List under Empowerment Initiative for PWD students in the KVPY Fellowship Program and cut off marks:
- Stream – SA (42.00 % and above)
- Stream – SX (45.00 % and above)
- Stream – SB (40.00 % and above)
The marks of all the candidates who appeared for the Aptitude Test & Interview (as applicable) can be obtained from the KVPY website during last week of April 2020 by logging in with the application number and date of birth.
The provisional list of candidates in the order of merit recommended for the Award of KVPY Fellowship-2019 has been declared. The merit list is based on the marks obtained by a Candidate: 75 % of the marks in the Aptitude Test + 25 % of the marks in the Interview.
In the case of SA candidates, the fellowship will be effective from 1st August 2021, provided they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences, namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science.
In the case of SX/SB candidates, the fellowship will be effective from 1st August 2020 provided they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences in branches mentioned above for SA candidates.
The candidates are required to intimate the KVPY office by email (fellowship.kvpy@iisc.ac.in) about their admission to the undergraduate program by 5th September 2020, so as to enable the office to forward the required forms for the candidates to fill up and submit to activate the KVPY fellowships.
